In between the rain and clouds, Berlin held more than a few great moments.
During the sunny bits, I noticed a seemingly natural flow to both natural and human elements of the city, and it went like this: rivers lined with lounge chairs, lounge chairs filled with happy Germans, happy Germans holding beers.
The city, deep in political turmoil in the still-very-recent past, presented itself to me from the seat of a rental bike as a complex maze of juxtapositions: new art adorning old art, religious faiths clashing in the open, and old buildings, dilapidated yet still alive with activity.
